Letter from Ted Haggard

For anyone following the news surrounding the fall of evangelical leader Ted Haggard, Between Two Worlds has posted public letters that Mr. Haggard and his wife asked be read to their congregation.

Thanks for these links. I was pleasantly surprised (if that emotion is even valid in this situation) at Haggard's confession. I thought it sounded like it came from a genuinely contrite heart. May we use this opportunity to show the world how we forgive.

Right on. This post from Above All Things held a similar view.

Thank you for posting this. The letters both seemed very sincere. Gayle's especially touched my heart. I believe the Lord is already working to heal this man and his family. They are going to be a great example to the world of God's grace and mercy if we are willing to surrender to Him.

hey, i found your blog via allie's blog. im glad you posted these. i too hope this can be used to show how the church forgives. i really felt for his wife, and really appreciated her letter. this really is an opportunity to show that she is "real" and that she can practice what she preaches.
